Mock Inquest

Back by popular demand, our mock inquest is going on tour! Our national inquest team is holding a series of mock inquests across four UK offices in early 2024 and we would be delighted if you could join us.

The event will focus on the (fictional) story of Mr Samuel Roberts. Mr Roberts had a history of anxiety and depression (with suicidal ideation), he presented at Accident and Emergency on 4 May 2022 and was assessed as requiring an inpatient admission. Unfortunately, observations of Mr Roberts were incongruent with his true risk to self and there were delays in identifying a mental health bed. He sadly died at the acute hospital and in steps the coroner.

This is a great opportunity for you and your teams to witness an inquest, learn the processes and what to expect, and share experiences over a light lunch. Our panel of inquest experts, including a sitting coroner, will be on hand to share their knowledge and experiences and answer all of your burning questions.

In recognition of the fact that there is ever greater strain on the public purse, this event is free to attend. To sign up, please select the date and office location below that you’d like to attend.

We look forward to seeing you there.
