A pre-nuptial/post-nuptial or separation agreement is designed to protect you, give you peace of mind about your financial arrangements and help you to avoid lengthy, costly and distressing litigation when a relationship breaks down.

    • discuss with you what you should include in your pre-nuptial/post-nuptial or separation agreement and whether it would be appropriate for the agreement to be reviewed in the future to deal with any change in circumstances
    • consider with you the likely approach of the court in subsequent divorce or dissolution proceedings and the matters the court will take account of
    • consider whether there are any special circumstances to your matter which need to be taken account of
    • draft your agreement or review an agreement that has been prepared by your partner’s solicitor
    • negotiate the agreement in a proactive and non-confrontational way and will keep you fully up-to-date about progress
