We're pleased to share the addition of two new Partners to our fast-growing Corporate team.
Mike O’Halloran and Thomas Mieszkowski have both joined our Leeds office, where they join Legal Directors Jamie Guy and Adhiraj Gupta with whom they previously worked.
The pair further strengthen our Corporate practice, which is one of the most active private equity and M&A teams nationally, and which is the most active adviser to London Stock Exchange listed businesses – advising on almost £2.8bn worth of M&A and investment in the last 12 months.
Mike is specialist in mid-market private equity and M&A, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions. He will split his time between Hill Dickinson’s Leeds and London offices. A graduate of the University of Cambridge, he spent the first four years of his career at Linklaters, including six months seconded to the firm’s Hong Kong office and an associate secondment to commodities giant Glencore in Switzerland. Mike also spent time working for global US law firm Latham & Watkins in its Singapore and London offices.
Thomas specialises in private equity and M&A, with a particular focus on sponsor-backed transactions. He advises domestic and international private equity funds, family offices, portfolio companies and their management teams across the investment lifecycle. His experience spans a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, logistics, technology, energy transition, defence, healthcare, food and drink, retail, professional services and financial services. He spent the first four years of his career in the London office of global US law firm Dechert. Thomas will split his time between Hill Dickinson’s Leeds and London offices.
Mike and Thomas represent the latest additions to our Partnership, which has grown to over 180 lawyers – with further lateral hires expected in the coming months. The firm has added more than 10 Partners and Consultants across its UK and international offices since the start of 2026, predominantly within our fast-growing Business Services Group. Those include senior specialists covering Corporate, Employment and Immigration, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Real Estate and Commercial law.
Mike and Thomas are both outstanding additions to our Corporate team and further strengthen one of the most active and ambitious practices in the UK.
