We are a national practice with work undertaken from our offices in Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and London. We help our clients with all issues of costs law, practice and procedure. Whether through resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation or litigation, our goal is to help our clients resolve all costs issues as efficiently as possible by providing strategic and cost-effective advice.

Our team of over 30 lawyers is led by Head of Costs, Rizvan Rasul. The team of costs law specialists ranges from costs lawyers and solicitors to apprentices and has a wealth of experience including both paying party and receiving party work. Given our vast experience, the team are well positioned to provide high-quality advice to help you resolve your issues, from arguments in respect of fixed costs to large scale strategic litigation.

Members of our team also hold positions on the Council of the Association of Costs Lawyers and regularly contribute to articles discussing key costs issues.

Our Costs team’s experience includes:
Helped a large public body with their overall strategic aim to limit litigation by promoting the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) with opponents. Resulting in several agreements that lead to ADR as a starting point in all cases to ensure disputes were resolved in a shorter time frame and without court intervention.
Assisted a public body in concerns with the conduct of particular solicitors, through a thorough and assessment of the papers and tying in wider experiences from the team resulted in a significant claim for costs being disallowed by the court on the grounds of conduct.
